OUR BRAND ETHOS

My first teacher in how I fold, design, and serve. She taught me that beauty is care, and order is love.

My dad and I — his legacy lives in how I create order, beauty, and strength. One day, we’ll meet again in eternity.

Style found. Chaos gone.

NORAJUKU is a personal expression of nostalgia — shaped by culture, faith, and beauty — designed to bring a fresh sense of order into the spaces we live in.

The name has meaning at every level.

“Nor” means new in Armenian and light in Greek — two languages from my roots.

“Juku” is Japanese for study or learn. It reflects the purpose behind this work: to help others live with more intention and less clutter. What I call The Nora — a new rhythm, new order, and new calm.

I’m Nora Sana Roussakis — an evangelical Christian, quadrilingual stay-at-home mom, wife, and the founder of NORAJUKU. From Montreal’s Mile End to Brooklyn’s South Slope, I offer luxury home organizing, personal styling, and curated vintage fashion — all virtually or in person.

For over 20 years, I co-ran Chez Rose Marie Lingerie, a high-end boutique in Mile End with my mother. That’s where I developed my eye for detail and began to understand how style and peace of mind are connected. It wasn’t just about clothing — it was about helping a woman feel like herself again.

NORAJUKU comes from that same place:

  • A love for vintage pieces with meaning

  • A belief that order can restore peace

  • A desire to create beauty that serves, not distracts

This brand reflects the people who’ve shaped me — the women who raised me, the men who protect me, and the little boy who made me a mother. It’s built on simplicity, strength, and a clear sense of home.

What started with a passion for styling has grown into a lifestyle service offering:

  • Virtual Home Organizing

  • Closet Editing + Wardrobe Systems

  • Vintage Apparel Curation

  • Personal Styling Sessions

Every piece I choose is intentional. Every system I create is made to work — long term.

I’m not here to sell a quick fix. I’m here to understand what’s in the way and help bring your space back into alignment. Life moves fast. It’s easy to feel buried in stuff. But there’s always a way to get back to clarity and calm.

That’s what NORAJUKU is here for.

Try this: choose a vintage piece you love, or tidy one small drawer. See how it shifts your mood.

Ready to bring order to your space and rhythm? I’m here. Let’s begin.

One-Kid SAHM

It's an honor to be a SAHM!

As my mother (my mentor) and I closed our retail business of 25+ years in 2009, Chez Rose Marie Lingerie, in Montreal my hometown, after leaving my friends, family, store, whole life behind and moving to the States to follow my American husband and my lifelong dream of moving to the States. I decided to move beyond my comfort zone and pursue my dream of running my own business and starting a family along with it.

We moved to the Midwest to be closer to his family, we designed our own house as first-time home owners, I started my home organizing business and gave birth to my only son a few years later (mini me in a different font). We then decided to relocate to New York in 2016 in order to live in a big city, our own city, and to put our child in school while running my business and my husband found work in his field.

Buying a condo to design and call our own was a dream come true. Between school drop-offs and pick-ups, I organize our household and tweak my cleaning routine a little bit every day to make it more effective. Once our home, our sanctuary, is clean, organized, and pantries and fridge are stocked with nutritious foods, I get to work on my business—before school pickup madness and before play dates or orthodontist visits begin.

No matter how hard it is being an expat, and no matter how much I miss my family and friends in Montreal, this is definitely my destiny and calling. God has given me a fierce love for my little family and completely transformed my mind to put my family first and my business second. After almost 20 years of marriage, I still continue to fall in love with my beau every day as he whisks me away on weekly coffee dates at our favorite local cafe, and I love our life in the big apple.

If you feel lost in stay-at-home motherhood or are a mompreneur. Dig deep with me. Remember we are giving our family a great gift—time. As my dreams keep growing and evolving, I realize how much I love writing blog posts. Check out my other posts if you liked this one, especially the one about the lost art of homemaking. Have a great Easter and God bless!
