OUR BRAND ETHOS

OUR BRAND ETHOS

NORAJUKU Home Organizing & Vintage Apparel is my personal expression of nostalgia, rooted in culture, faith, and beauty.

Nor means “new” in Armenian and “light” in Greek. These are two cultures at the core of who I am. It speaks to my roots, both ancestral and spiritual. That dual meaning isn’t just beautiful. It’s the soul of this brand. Norajuku exists to bring fresh perspective and quiet illumination into the spaces we live in.

I’m Nora Sana Roussakis—evangelical Christian, quadrilingual, stay-at-home mom and wife—and the creative force behind Norajuku. From Montreal’s Mile End to Brooklyn’s South Slope, I bring luxury home organizing, personal styling, and curated vintage fashion straight to your door or screen.

For over 20 years, I co-ran Chez Rose Marie Lingerie—a high-end, mother-and-daughter boutique in Montreal’s Mile End. That’s where I sharpened my eye for style and discovered just how deeply joy and order are connected.

Norajuku is more than just a business—it’s a deeply personal expression of everything I love and believe in. Inspired by the women who shaped me—my beautiful mother, my nene, my brother, my friends—this brand is rooted in the rhythms of home, the beauty of simplicity, and the strength of womanhood. It’s a reflection of my faith, my culture, and the calling I feel to bring peace and intention into the spaces we live in.

What began with a love of styling has blossomed into a full lifestyle offering—blending vintage apparel, home organizing, personal styling, and virtual wardrobe services to help women live more beautifully and intentionally. Every vintage piece I curate has a story, and every system I build is designed to simplify your life, not complicate it.

I created Norajuku to be a sanctuary—for your closet, your kitchen, your mind. A place where style meets stewardship, and where elegance isn’t about extravagance, but about clarity, grace, and thoughtful design. My minimalist approach is shaped by timeless European sensibilities, softened by maternal warmth, and elevated by luxury details that feel both effortless and intentional.

I won’t wave a wand, but with my natural love for organizing, a whole lot of empathy, and a deep understanding of how we relate to our “stuff,” my approach often feels a little like magic.

I’m here to help you clear the clutter, curate a wardrobe that reflects your soul, and create systems that stick—so you can get back to what really matters.

One-Kid SAHM

It's an honor to be a SAHM!

As my mother (my mentor) and I closed our retail business of 25+ years in 2009, Chez Rose Marie Lingerie, in Montreal my hometown, after leaving my friends, family, store, whole life behind and moving to the States to follow my American husband and my lifelong dream of moving to the States. I decided to move beyond my comfort zone and pursue my dream of running my own business and starting a family along with it.

We moved to the Midwest to be closer to his family, we designed our own house as first-time home owners, I started my home organizing business and gave birth to my only son a few years later (mini me in a different font). We then decided to relocate to New York in 2016 in order to live in a big city, our own city, and to put our child in school while running my business and my husband found work in his field.

Buying a condo to design and call our own was a dream come true. Between school drop-offs and pick-ups, I organize our household and tweak my cleaning routine a little bit every day to make it more effective. Once our home, our sanctuary, is clean, organized, and pantries and fridge are stocked with nutritious foods, I get to work on my business—before school pickup madness and before play dates or orthodontist visits begin.

No matter how hard it is being an expat, and no matter how much I miss my family and friends in Montreal, this is definitely my destiny and calling. God has given me a fierce love for my little family and completely transformed my mind to put my family first and my business second. After almost 20 years of marriage, I still continue to fall in love with my beau every day as he whisks me away on weekly coffee dates at our favorite local cafe, and I love our life in the big apple.

If you feel lost in stay-at-home motherhood or are a mompreneur. Dig deep with me. Remember we are giving our family a great gift—time. As my dreams keep growing and evolving, I realize how much I love writing blog posts. Check out my other posts if you liked this one, especially the one about the lost art of homemaking. Have a great Easter and God bless!
